What is the SFIA User Forum?

The SFIA User Forum is a community of SFIA users exchanging experiences and knowledge in order to help each other implement and manage the Skills Framework. It also has a broader interest in developing the capability of Business Change and IT professionals whose roles and careers are covered by the SFIA framework.

Membership of the User Forum is free but the forum relies on the voluntary efforts of its members to be a success. The forum is independent of the SFIA Foundation but the Chairman of the User Forum is also a member of the Council of the SFIA Foundation.

The User Forum has grown to over 250 members from more than 25 countries. Members of the forum come from a range of industries and cover the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

The hub of the User Forum is a members-only web site which provides the mechanism for forum members to connect with each other and for the contribution and exchange of knowledge, opinions and information concerning SFIA and SFIA-related activities.

• Access to knowledge and information such as: case studies, example documents, implementation plans & advice, Frequently Asked Questions, links to useful resources, news on SFIA and related topics
• Share the experience of others in implementing SFIA in organizations of all types and sizes
• Receive guidance and assistance from long-standing SFIA users

• Build your own network with like-minded professionals
• Influence the IT Professionalism agenda and the development of future versions of SFIA

As a by-product of contributing this information, User Forum members are building a knowledge base in this repository for their future use.
