The SFIA Foundation 

The SFIA Foundation, incorporated in July 2003, consists of four members, each of whom have nominated a Director on to the Foundation's Board.

Those organisations, and their nominated Directors, are as follows.


e-skills UK - The Sector Skills Council for IT and Telecoms
Terry Hook

The BCS - British Computer Society
Malcolm Sillars

The IET - The Institution of Engineering and Technology
Mike Bridgefoot

IMIS - Institute for the Management of Information Systems
Ian Rickwood (Foundation Chairman)



The Foundation works to further develop SFIA and encourage and support its use within organisations using information systems.  

 

Input to help define strategic direction is provided by the SFIA Council.

Day to day affairs and the running of the SFIA conference is undertaken by the Operations Manager, Ron McLaren.

 


Creation of the SFIA Foundation 
The BCS, IEE, IMIS and e-skills UK joined forces in July 2003 to form the SFIA Foundation. The Foundation coordinates activities to facilitate the availability and implementation of SFIA throughout the UK and beyond.
