Capability Management 2007

The annual SFIA Conference and Exhibition

The Annual Conference organised by the SFIA Foundation has become an established part of the skills scene. The importance of this area of work is now being emphasised by the movement for professionalism in IT. This year’s conference – the sixth – promises to be better than ever. Part plenary, part streamed, the conference addresses the broad field of Capability Management.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Those contemplating or already involved in a project to improve the management of the skills and capability of their IT function and the people within it. Whether you will be making detailed changes in job descriptions and role profiles, or undertaking major structural reform, the experienced speakers at this conference will have something to contribute.

SPEAKERS INCLUDE

Speakers are drawn from organisations in the Private Sector, Government, and IT service providers. They include itSMF, HM Revenue and Customs, Norwich Union Life, IBM, CGI, the RAF, InfoBasis, Hudson, BP International, PA Consulting Group and the SFIA User Forum.

You will hear about IT practices as a mature way of organising IT, talent management, building IT professionalism, capability management and human capital management and you will be able to take part in a workshop on implementing SFIA management.

You will of course be able to meet and talk to delegates who share your interests.

NB Some sessions will have additional speakers, adding their user experience perspective. A revised agenda will be published in due course including those names.

  • Conference 10:00 am – 4:15 pm
  • Place: Conference Centre of the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (previously known as the DTI), 1 Victoria Street, London, SW1H 0ET. The Conference Centre is situated in Victoria Street, London, very close to Westminster Abbey.

BOOKING

The conference fee is £85.00 plus VAT (£14.88 ) = £99.88

NB A buffet lunch will be provided at no further charge.

The booking facility is now closed as the conference has reached full capacity.

Cancellations Policy

If you book but then cannot attend, you can cancel before 1 November and have a refund, less a £15 (plus VAT) administration fee. Details will be on the email that confirms this booking.

Alternatively, you may transfer this ticket to another person. In that case, please ensure that we are provided with your name and booking reference, and the full details of the person who will be attending instead. This is essential if they are to gain access to the Conference Centre. Please email the details to conf@sfia.org.uk
